Full description | Tower mill, Barnham. Close view of tarred flint-and-stone four-storey tower with adjacent low brick building (corn house) and wooden structure (belt house). Windmill built probably c1830, continued working as windmill into early 1920s, and converted to power mill (which ceased working in 1978). The fire box for the steam engine is barely visible on the lower right. |
