Full description | Singleton Village from above. The village seen from top of the church tower. Malthouse with tall chimney is on the left, now demolished. In the centre are shops, one belonging to Gus Mason carpenter shop and wheelwright, the other is C. Pennicott bakery or shoemakers ? The Fox and Hounds pub is on the right-centre. Tiled roofing. Brick chimneys. Southdowns in background. Postmarked 6 September 1904. Postcard sent from Lottie to Mrs Sharpe, Clayton Cottage, Birdham. |
