Full description | Village shop, Singleton. View across road to village shop, two-storey flint building with brick quoins and facings. Name of shop owner C. Pennicott on facade, advertisements for Cadburys Chocolate and Cadburys Cocoa in window. Two men wearing jackets, caps and long white aprons stand in front of shop window, another in shirtsleeves anbd apron stands centre left. Dog stands in road. Signpost on left indicating West Dean, Lavant and Chichester to right, Charlton and Esat Dean to left. Postcard postmarked 1 July 1908. |
