Full descriptionTown Hall interior, Chichester. General view looking towards stage at one end. Tall pointed windows, wood panelling. Small figures of two men in left foreground. The Town Hall (also known as the Guildhall), was built in the late 13th century as the church for the Greyfriars, and became the town hall after the dissolution of the monasteries in 1538. In the 1960s it became the Guildhall Museum, part of the Chichester District Museum Service. Published 28 July 1784.
