Full description | Market Cross, Chichester (built 1501). 1749 Engraving of East Front, showing lantern top, clock and bust of King Charles I (bust attributed to Fanelli). Decorated in High Gothic style. Above the main drawing are two roundels, the left depicting the floor plan, the right depicting the roof plan. Engraving by G. Vertue from a drawing by William Ride. See E000094b and E000094c for continuation of engraving, total measuring 464 mm x 619 mm. |
