Full description | Market Cross, Chichester (built 1501). 1749 Engraving of South Front. Decorated in High Gothic style. Plaque above and inscribed: 'Dame Elizabeth Farrington Relict of Sr Richard Farrington Baronet gave this clock as an hourly memento of her good will to this citty MDCCXXIV George Harris Mayor'. Above the drawing on the left is a roundel depicting the roof plan. Engraving by G. Vertue from a drawing by William Ride.
