Full description | St John's Parish Church, Crawley. Crawley's parish church was founded as a small chantry chapel in 1250 and dedicated to St John the baptist. In the middle of the 15th Century the tower was built and the nave was raised. More rebuilding and enlarging of the chancel then occured in the 1880s, and was directed by Rev. John Barrett-Lennard.
